The Evaluation of Health Law Education in the Mental Health Nurse


[[abstract]]本研究之目的在於瞭解精神科護理人員目前執行業務中相關法律知識的瞭解程度與態度和相關醫事法律教育訓練介入措施後其知識、行為意向改變之探討。 本研究採類實驗設計法(Quasi-experimental design),以立意取樣方式,將研究對象分為實驗組與對照組兩組,研究對象以北部某衛生署所屬醫院之精神病房護理人員為實驗組,實驗組介入醫事法律教育訓練課程,以中部另一醫院之精神科病房為對照組,而對照組則不予以授課。在介入前,對研究對象進行前測以作為基礎資料。實驗組於前測一週後進行三單元共6小時之醫事法律教育訓練,完整醫事法律教育訓練課程結束後立即做後測,二星期後做第二次後測,比較在接受醫事法律課程後對知識、行為意向的差異。資料以SPSS 15.0 套裝軟體處理,並以Mann-Whitney U Test、卡方檢定及GEE(Generalized Estimating Equations)之迴歸模式等統計方法進行處理與分析。 本研究實驗組27人,對照組32人。研究結果顯示:1.研究對象之基本屬性,對於年齡、工作年資、教育程度、教育程度、能力進階層級、職稱及過去6個月內有無接受醫事法律相關在職教育訓練等,皆沒有顯著性差異。2.研究對象實施教育訓練後在護理人員法與精神衛生法相關知識,有統計上之顯著之差異(p<.05)。 由上述結果顯示護理人員對於有無接受醫事法律之教育訓練與法律知識有顯著的相關,顯示在臨床施行醫事法律相關教育訓練之教學仍具果效,故醫療院所應重視醫事法律相關之教學,並將之列入繼續訓練必修課程,而教育訓練課程之設計,除了在課堂中授課後,宜強化課後的定期追蹤與臨床實例之分享,以提昇整體護理人員相關知識的瞭解。

[[abstract]]The purpose of this study was to explore mental health nurse attitude as well as knowledge on related mental health laws in their practice. The study also explored the change of knowledge and intentions after the mental health law education. Quasi-experiment Design was adopted in this study, The subjects were divided into experimental group and control group via purpose sampling. Mental health nurse of experiment group was from some department of health and the control group was from another medical hospital. The experiment group accepted mental health law training while the control group was void of such training. A pre-test was used before the education and the result was set as the basis for this research. After one week of pre-test, the experiment group received three units’ mental health education, six hourse in total. The after-test was taken right after the complete of the education courses. A second afeter-test wad taken one week later to check the change of knowledgeand intention after education. SPSS 15.0 was used to process data. Mann-Whitney U test, chi-square test and GEE(Generialized Estimating Equations) regression module were adopted in the analysis. 27menbers were in the experiment group and 32 menbers were in the control group. The result of the study showed that 1.there was no signifi-cant difference on subjects’ attributes on aage, year of service, lever of educa¬tion, lever of ability, professional title; and 2.statistics significance (p<.05) was found for subject in knowledge on nurses law and mental health law after education. Since the result indicated a significant relationship between receiving void of mental health law training and mental health law knowledge for mental health nurse, it appeared that offering on-the-job relative mental haalth education was worthwhile. So hospiral shoud put weight on relative mental health law education, make them core courses for continuing train¬ing program. To improve nursing staff’s field knoeldge, an ideal training course design might include class tealth and refular follow ups after class, as well as share in practice cases.
